Our Mission
Affirming human dignity and providing clean, safe, sober living environments for newly sober alcoholics and drug addicts who truly have the desire to change their lives.
We offer the least restrictive environment possible and wish to take only clients that can handle the responsibility that comes with this degree of freedom. Occasionally we may have clients that require additional help, which we refer to outside sources.
We differ from many other facilities in that a resident’s personal commitment to recovery dictates what privileges and freedoms they have. Clients that are more secure in their sobriety can transition relatively quickly into a normal living routine. Those less grounded are afforded the opportunity to stabilize before having to add the pressures of increased responsibility and less structure.
The culture created in our residential setting provides a safe, sober proving ground which gives clients the ability to practice independent living skills while incorporating the 12 steps into their lives. Throughout the process, clients acquire strong living skills, self-awareness, insight and develop a sober support system. Thus clients are given concrete indications as to the progress they have made as well as changes still necessary to reach their goals. The culmination of this provides an opportunity for residents to embrace a solution that addresses the situational, spiritual and environmental factors contributing to alcoholism and addiction.
OUR VISION...
Perhaps you are in the grips of active addiction, or have helplessly watched as a friend or loved one continues to suffer. Maybe you have experienced the repercussions in a more indirect manner. The chaos and disruption caused by alcoholism and drug addiction seems to affect our entire culture.
THERE IS A SOLUTION...
Alcoholism and Addiction Assistance Association specializes in providing a solid ground upon which newly sober addicts and alcoholics can adopt a manner of living conducive to maintaining permanent sobriety. Via our social model transitional living centers, clients develop real solutions for real life in a safe, sober environment.
Clients address their alcoholism and addiction on a daily basis. Our program is based entirely on the 12 steps. We do not offer “treatment” in the traditional sense of the word. We provide the framework and guidance that allows clients to find recovery in the 12 step program of their choice. The end result is a common solution to a common problem that caters to each person’s individual needs.
The goal of Alcoholism and Addiction Assistance Association is a successful transition back to home, work, school, and family life having a new found sense of self esteem, direction, and purpose. Occasionally, we have clients who need outside help, which we refer to therapists who are intimately familiar with 12 step recovery.
